Due to the cold winds in the north, the mercury in 10 cities of the state, including Ahmedabad, dipped below 10 degrees Celsius while the temperature in all other cities reached between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius.  Naliya has become the coldest city in the entire state with 3.2 degrees due to the effects of cold winds.  In Ahmedabad, the mercury dropped by 8.4 degrees for two days.

 Temperatures in 17 cities below 12 degrees

 The meteorological department has said that the cold wave will continue in the state for the next two days.  According to the Meteorological Department, cold winds from the north have lashed the entire state.  The minimum temperature in 17 cities of the state, including Ahmedabad, was recorded below 12.0 degrees.  The cold wave is expected to continue in the state for the next two days. The meteorological department has forecast cold snap in most parts of the state, including Ahmedabad, from December 31.

 The cold snap in the state will subside after two days of killer cold

 December 29 - Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Bhavnagar and Junagadh

 December 30 - Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Bhavnagar and Junagadh

 December 31 - Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh
