Inauguration of the country's first driverless metro: One Nation, One Mobility service will be implemented across the country, two trains will stop automatically if they come on one track

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the country's first driverless Metro train through video conferencing.  The facility has been started on the 37 km long Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to the Botanical Gardens.  Modi said that One Nation, One Mobility service will be launched across the country.  Metro service will be launched in more than 25 cities by 2025.  The peculiarity of driverless metro is that if two trains come on one track then both trains will stop automatically.

The Prime Minister added that earlier only announcements were made.  Now work is also being done.  Metro trains will reduce pollution in cities.  4 big companies are producing Metro coaches.  As a result, the self-reliant India campaign is also getting help.  Unnecessary rocktalk is closed on the highway.  Many taxes have been abolished from One Nation, One Tax.  One Nation, One Health Nation Scheme i.e. treatment can be done anywhere from Living India.  Similarly, the country is moving towards one nation, one agriculture market through agricultural reforms.  Operates through driverless metro communication base train control signaling system.  This is a WiFi like system.

5 important things of Modi's speech

 1. Metro targets in more than 25 cities by 2025

Modi said the first Metro in Delhi started with Atalji's efforts.  When our government was formed in 2014, only 5 cities had metro rail, today 18 cities have this service.  It will be extended to more than 25 cities by 2025.  The metro has a range of more than 700 km.  Its area is being considered to be 1700 km by 2025.  Now 2.5 million people travel in the metro every day.  It is proof of Ease of Living.  It is very useful in fulfilling the dreams of the middle class of the country.

 2. Made a policy on Metro, implemented a strategy

The bureaucracy is the same, but the work is done quickly.  The reason is that we have seen the opportunity.  Previously only announcements were made.  We took the metro and made a policy and implemented a strategy.  Promoting local resources, emphasizing modern technology.

 3. A means of reducing metro pollution

We have taken care of the fact that the metro must be spread according to the lifestyle here.  It works differently in each city.  Metro lights are being worked on where the number of passengers is less.  Where there is a water body, work is being done on the water metro.  Today, the metro is not only a well-equipped means but also a means of reducing pollution.  This has reduced the number of vehicles coming from the road.

 4. Took the help of Self-Reliant India Campaign

Now only four big companies of the country are working on Metro coaches.  This is helping the self-reliant India campaign.  I recently had the opportunity to inaugurate a driverless metro.  Our country has become one of the selected countries in the world where this facility is available.

 5. With the agricultural reforms, one nation, one agriculture market has moved in the direction

Like the One Nation-One Mobility Card, the government has done a lot of work to integrate the systems.  Unnecessary rocktalk is closed on the highway.  One Nation-One Tax has eliminated many taxes.  Electricity has also been damaged from the One Nation-One power grid.  One Nation-One Health Nation Scheme i.e. Ayushman Bharat Yojana can be used for treatment anywhere.  In this way, the country is moving towards one nation-one agriculture market with new agricultural reforms.

37 km  The country's first driverless metro will run on a long magenta line

95 km  There is speed per hour, but this will run at a speed of 85 km / h

380 passengers will be able to sit in one coach, there are six coaches in one train

2,280 tourists will be able to travel at once

3 main features of the driverless metro

 1. Its system is so safe that sometimes if two metros come on the same track, it will automatically shut down at a certain distance.

 2. The shock that is experienced while traveling in the metro will not happen in a driverless train.

 3. Passengers will not have any difficulty while getting on and off the train.

 How does the system work?

The driverless metro travel is connected to a communication based train control signaling system.

This system works like a Wi-Fi.  It signals the metro from which it runs.

The receiver in the metro train moves forward after receiving the signal.  This system is used in many metros abroad.

The latter will run on all lines of the third phase of the metro

According to Anuj Dayal, Executive Director (Communications), DMRC, Driverless Metro will be launched on the 57 km long Pink Line after the Magenta Line.  Anuj Dayal said that when the Pink and Magenta lines were prepared, they were connected to a communication based train control signaling system.

Automated metro trains run in 46 cities around the world

According to The International Association of Public Transport, by 2019, 64 automated metro trains were running in 46 cities around the world.  The world's first driverless metro was launched in 1981 in Kobe, Japan.

Launch of National Common Mobility Card

Modi has also inaugurated the National Common Mobility Card, which will be fully operational on the Airport Metro.  Debit cards issued by 23 banks in the last one and a half years will allow anyone to travel on the Airport Express line.  The facility will be available on the Delhi Metro network by 2022.  After that, passengers will be able to travel in the metro with a smart card as well as a debit card.

Technique: The train will stop in case of any accident

The driverless metro will not have a driver's cabin at the front.  So tourists will now be able to go to the front of the train and see the rail track in front.  Another feature of it is that if something falls 50 meters away on the rail track, it will stop automatically.  It will also reduce the chances of an accident.  It will be operated automatically from the control room.

Convenience: Metro will be available every 90 seconds instead of five minutes

According to the Delhi Metro Corporation, at present the Metro operates every five minutes, 12 seconds.  But running a driverless metro will increase the pressure on tourists to operate the metro at an interval of barely 90 seconds.  Accuracy of new metro is higher than metro with driver.  These trains will increase the frequency of the metro and reduce congestion.  Along with this, the revenue of Metro will also increase.

Feature: ODD device will be installed on the track

Train running, stopping, speeding, opening and closing doors, controlling in case of emergency will all be automatic.  There will be a camera in front of the metro.  This camera will show the full picture of the front of the train in the live control room.  An ODD device will be installed on the track which will remove any small obstruction on the track and prevent the train from derailing.

World: Driverless metro ran in Japan in 1981

The world's first driverless metro ran in 1981 in Kobe, Japan.  The world's second driverless metro began operating in 1983 in the European city of Lille, France.  According to reports, driverless metros currently operate in the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Hungary, Switzerland, China, Brazil, Canada, Peru and Chile.
