PM Modi praises 'Kitabovali Didi', builds mobile library on Scooty to teach children

PM Modi praised 'Kitabowali Didi' in his program Mann Ki Baat at 11 am on Sunday. In a secondary school in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh, teacher Usha Devi goes to the streets and teaches children. He turned his Scooty into a library when school closures began to affect children's studies. I stayed with the children for four hours every morning and started teaching them.

Approximately 100 books of each subject available

During the closed school, the children wait for their sister with the books. Scooty's voice comes crashing down. This Scooty library has 100 books on subjects ranging from science. Along with the children, their parents are also happy with this moving library. Usha Devi has been trying to continue her children's studies by going to the streets for the last 2 months. About 15-20 children read a different story in each street. At the same time they are also learning to speak English.

Books for children in grades 1 to 8

Regarding this unique initiative, teacher Usha Devi said that the lockdown has had a great impact on children's studies. This library has helped the children a lot.
