The National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) has launched the National Digital Library of India (NDL India Project) with a single-window search facility to develop a virtual repository of educational resources under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Has started. Filters and federated searches are in place to facilitate centralized search so that learners can find the right source with minimal effort and in the shortest amount of time. NDL India is designed to include any language content and provides interface support for leading Indian languages. Support is planned for all academic levels, including researchers and lifelong learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices, and differently competent learners. It is being developed to help students prepare for entrance and competitive exams, enabling people to learn and prepare from the best studies around the world, and helping researchers to conduct interrelated research from multiple sources. The pilot project is developing a framework that serves all levels and disciplines of learners, taking into account the level and variety of materials. It is being developed at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

National Digital Library (NDLI) offers access to wide selection of digital contents.

Ministry of Human Resource Development underneath its National Mission on Education through data and Communication Technology has initiated the National Digital Library of India (NDL India) test to develop a framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility.
